FLIPPER PART 2 - JODEL LEVEILLE FLIPS OFF AND YELLS PROFANITY AT JUDGE

On Wednesday, Jodel Leveille, 24, appeared before Miami-Dade Judge Ellen Sue Venzer for a bail hearing. Mr. Leveille thought it was the opportune time to let the judge know how he felt about her and the police who arrested him. Levelle, who was being arraigned on battery and criminal mischief charges, yelled profanity at the judge while flipping his middle finger, grabbing his crotch and telling her to die. The judge, who was unmoved by the defendant's outrageous behavior, didn't not hold Levelle in contempt of court, but set his bail at $17,000.00 and ordered him to undergo a psychological evaluation.

Rickesha Burns Accused of Shoving Vibrator Into 2-Year-Old Son's Anus

A Phoenix woman is accused of shoving a vibrator into her 2-year-old son's anus, and doctors told police that surgery will be required to remove it.

According to court documents obtained by New Times, 21-year-old Rickesha Burns called police Sunday, reporting that her son was bleeding from his anus.
Burns said she didn't know what happened.
She said she was at a park with her son, and while she was "looking at a text message for about 10 seconds," a boy she didn't know at the park did "something" to her son, according to the documents.
"She said she does not know what he did, but is sure he did something," a probable-cause statement says.

The boy was brought to Phoenix Children's Hospital, and doctors discovered that he has numerous bruises around his anus, a "hanger type" bruise on his hip, and yet another bruise on his neck.
Doctors also found an object lodged in his rectum, which appears to be "a vibrator or some other sex toy."

Police interviewed Burns, who still claimed that a teenage boy at a park did it, even though she "believes it is her vibrator," and police found the boy's blood on her shirt, according to court documents.
Phoenix Police Officer James Holmes says there was zero evidence that the boy was assaulted at the park.

Burns told police that she "worked hard to get her son back and would not do anything like this to hurt her son."
[C]ourt records show that Burns was investigated for child abuse in 2011, but it doesn't appear that criminal charges were ever filed.
The boy was slated to have surgery to get the vibrator removed, according to court documents....
Meanwhile, Burns was booked into jail on charges of sexual conduct with a minor, and child abuse. She's being held without bond.

UPDATE:

The following comment was posted on PhoenixNewTimes.com by Eliza:

"The foster parents of this little boy are my family. He had 8 broken bones when they first got him from his abusive home and for a year they loved and cared for him to the point where he was finally back to normal and was so happy. He is the sweetest little boy on the planet! Judge Aimee Anderson let the family take this baby back after repeated abuse. This is a huge injustice to this sweet little boy, and this judge should be mortified and quit! Please pass the word along as this should never get to happen to a child under our justice system ever again!"

DEION SANDERS CHILD CUSTODY JURY MAKES DECISION

DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) - After two weeks of mudslinging testimony, the child custody hearing is over between former Dallas Cowboy and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders and his estranged wife Pilar.
A 12-member jury voted 11-1 to grant Deion sole custody and conservatorship of the couple’s 13 and 11-year old sons.  The couple will share custody and conservatorship of their 9-year old daughter, though Deion has the power to determine where she will live....
Pilar Sanders’ attorney said they would appeal, calling it just “halftime” in the case. Issues with a prenuptial agreement, visitation and child support are still unresolved.

BAAUER'S 'HARLEM SHAKE' COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT

According to NYTimes.com, Hector Delgado, a former reggaetón artist turned evangelical preacher in Puerto Rico, and Jayson Musson, a rapper from Philadelphia, are seeking compensation from Mad Decent Records for the unauthorized use of their voices on "Harlem Shake," a song that had gone viral on the Internet and then climbed to the top of the pop chart.

"Neither [Delgado nor Musson] gave permission to the song’s producer and writer, Harry Bauer Rodrigues, who records under the name Baauer, to use snippets of their records, they said. 'It’s almost like they came on my land and built a house,' Mr. Delgado said.
The label and Mr. Rodrigues [have] declined to comment. But the tale of how an obscure dance track containing possible copyright violations rose to the top of pop charts illustrates not only the free-for-all nature of underground dance music but also the power of an Internet fad to create a sudden hit outside the major-label system....
The label initially offered 'Harlem Shake' as a free download, then began charging for it in June as part of EP.
But sales of the song did not shoot up until last month, when it became the soundtrack for a YouTube dance craze. The fad involved people posting wacky videos of themselves dancing convulsively in absurd costumes to the first 30 seconds of the track, which begins with Mr. Delgado, whose stage name was Hector El Father, singing, 'Con los terroristas' ('With the terrorists'). Mr. Musson sings 'Do the Harlem shake' 15 seconds into the track, a cue for the dancers to thrash around wildly." (Click here to read more)

JUDGE STRIKES DOWN NYC SUGARY-DRINK SIZE RULE

(NEW YORK) — A judge struck down New York City’s ban on big sugary drinks Monday just hours before it was supposed to take effect, ruling that the first-in-the-nation measure arbitrarily applies to only some sweet beverages and some places that sell them.
“The loopholes in this rule effectively defeat the stated purpose of this rule,” state Supreme Court Justice Milton Tingling wrote in a defeat for Mayor Michael Bloomberg and a victory for the beverage industry and others who challenged the 16-ounce limit on sodas and other high-calorie drinks.
Further, the city Board of Health intruded on City Council’s authority in approving the size limit, the judge said. The restriction was supposed to start Tuesday.
The city said it will appeal the ruling as soon as possible. Supreme Court is New York’s trial-level court.

KIDNAP/RAPE SUSPECT CHRISTINA REGUSTERS' FATHER IS A REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER

From 6abc.com

Christina Regusters' father, 40-year-old Demetreaus Moore, was recently released from prison and is living in Maryland as a registered sex offender. Back in 2005, when Christina was 11 years old, Moore was charged with two counts of sexually abusing a minor. He was convicted and went to jail in 2006.
Moore admits he went to jail for sexually abusing a minor. And he says he has the deepest sympathy for Christina's alleged victim and her family.
He says no child should go through anything like that.
Police say Regusters, dressed in Muslim garb, abducted the five-year-old from her classroom at Bryant Elementary School last month. The girl was sexually abused and then dropped off in a park in Upper Darby wearing only a t-shirt.
Regusters' lawyer, W. Fred Harrison Jr., says she had nothing to do with the abduction and rape.
He says, because of her own troubled childhood, Christina is more protective of children than most.
Regusters had been working at the daycare where her alleged victim was cared for after school.
Police say she posed as the girl's mother to get her out of school and then took her a few blocks away to the home she shares with her aunt and her aunt's boyfriend.
Sources say Regusters may have acted alone initially, but they suspect she had help covering her tracks before the police closed in.
Police have collected dozens of pieces of possible evidence from Regusters' home for laboratory analysis. That analysis is ongoing at several labs, and the police say it may be a week or more before they wrap things up.  (SOURCE)

ALLEGED KIDNAPPER CHRISTINA REGUSTERS ASSAULTED IN PRISON

Prison sources told NBC10 that the woman charged with the kidnapping and rape of a 5-year-old girl abducted from a Philadelphia classroom has been moved to a different correctional facility for her safety.
Christina Regusters, 19, was recently transferred to the Northampton County Prison after being assaulted, according to prison sources. Regusters’ attorney, Fred Harrison, says his client was moved because this is a high-profile case. Regusters is accused of holding the 5-year-old captive inside a Cobbs Creek home in January. Investigators say there the girl was sexually assaulted before being left in the cold at an Upper Darby playground.
Regusters faces 15 charges including kidnapping, rape and involuntary deviant sexual intercourse. She is being held on $4 million bail.
According to the Philly DA website, Regusters is facing Kidnapping, Rape of A Child, Conspiracy, Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Interference with Custody, Corruption of Minors, Concealing Whereabouts, Possession of an Instrument of Crime (PIC), Simple Assault, REAP, Indecent Assault, Unlawful Restraint, and False Imprisonment charges for kidnapping and assaulting a 5-year-old girl in January, 2013.

UPDATE:  On March 7, 2013, Christina Regusters' attorney W. Fred Harrison, Jr. argued for a  reduction in her $4 million dollar bail  -- the request that was denied.  There have been unconfirmed reports that Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams plans to convene a grand jury to investigate the abduction. MICHAEL WINANS JR SENTENCED 14 YEARS FOR PONZI SCHEME

According to Myfoxdetroit.com, Michael Winans Jr., whose father is Michael Winans Sr. of the famous gospel group The Winans, was sentenced to 14 years in prison on March 6th, 2013, in connection with an $8 million Ponzi scheme.
"I want to apologize to everyone. ... These were decisions that were negligent and irresponsible,' said Winans, of Jessup, Md.  [Winans] said he had no "malicious intent" but acknowledged that he continued to collect money even after he learned that the bonds were bogus."
Winans relied on unwitting friends to round up investors, a trait of a classic Ponzi scheme. When the bonds turned out to phony, investors angrily turned on the people who recruited them.
Winans, 30, attracted more than 1,000 investors between 2007 and 2008 by promising 100 percent returns in two months for investing in a Saudi Oil bond. He then used the money for personal expenses or to pay off earlier investors. Most of the investors were not recruited directly by Winans. Many were recruited by others through word of mouth.
"[He] relied on unwitting friends to round up investors, a trait of a classic Ponzi scheme. When the bonds turned out to phony, investors angrily turned on the people who recruited them....  About 600 people are still owed $4.7 million."
Winans [] has performed with his cousins as Winans Phase II. He released his own album in 2011, 'My Own Genre.'
There are lots of marriages that have been destroyed. I know family members who aren't speaking to each other,' Tara Hurt told the judge. The Detroit-area resident declined further comment outside court.
U.S. District Judge Sean Cox read from some of the 50 letters written by victims. He noted that Winans made his pitch from church pulpits.
"Fraud on good, decent church-going people – that was very, very troubling to me," Cox said.

DEION SANDERS DENIES STEROID USE ALLEGATION BY PILAR SANDERS

Yesterday was the fourth day of  testimony in the child custody trial involving former NFL football player Deion Sanders and his estranged wife Pilar Sanders.

According to Dallasnews.com, Pilar Sanders started to testify about Deion Sanders' alleged steroid usage during his professional football career when "the former professional athlete stood abruptly and left the courtroom as his attorney objected."

The jury was immediately removed from the courtroom so that attorneys for both sides could argue the relevancy of the steroid usage testimony to the issues of the case.

Judge Ray Wheless eventually ruled that the testimony was too prejudicial and barred any further testimony on that matter.

Being true to his ego, Deion made a statement to press (see the video posted below) and sent a tweet denying any steroid usage.

DEION SANDERS VS PILAR SANDERS: CHILD CUSTODY TRIAL DAY 1

The jury trial has begun in the custody phase of the contentious divorce between former NFL football player Deion Sanders and his model wife Pilar Sanders.

Opening statements began on March 5, 2013, at the Collin County (TX) courthouse; and the jury were charged with determining who will have primary (residential) custody of the couples'  three minor children, ages 9 -13.  Deion has two older children with his first wife, Carolyn Sanders.
According to Dallasnews.com, in his opening statement, Rick Robertson, who is representing Deion Sanders, stated that “Deion is worried that Pilar is not going to stay in this area” if granted primary custody of their children.
During his opening statement, [Pilar Sanders' attorney], Luke Gunnstaks, "called the [former professional] football player 'a playtime dad, a Disneyland dad[,]'  [and] a manipulative man who wants his children to reflect well on him, and if they don’t, they know they’re in trouble.”
Deion, who was the one that imitated the divorce after rumors of him having an affair with a 19-year old college student had surfaced on  a popular gossip blog, was first to take the stand and testified that he is unable to communicate with his estranged wife.
"Jurors were shown Deion Sanders’ Hall of Fame speech from 2011, which was right in the middle of what the former Dallas Cowboy called the “drama summer.”
He said Pilar Sanders and his daughter from his previous marriage were bickering during his speech. He called the accomplishment the second most important after first signing with the Atlanta Falcons in 1989.
After watching the video in the courtroom, the athlete cried and needed a minute to compose himself. His attorney asked him how his wife, Pilar, acted during the important day. He said “she caused drama.”
Here is the video of Deion's Hall of Fame speech that caused him to cry on the stand after viewing it.  At about 10:06, he thanks his beautiful wife Pilar for putting her dreams and ambitions on hold so he could achieve his dreams.  He also thanks her for putting up with him because he isn't easy to deal with.

SHEREE WHITFIELD: COURT BY SHEREE RESTRAINING ORDER DENIED

According to TMZ, Former Real Housewife of Atlanta Sheree Whitfield filed for a temporary restraining order against three Atlanta (GA) bloggers: Tamara Kay Brawner (aka Tamara Tattles), Michelle Brown (aka ATLien) and Quintin Latham (aka Funky Dineva), on last week.

Whitfield, who was seeking 12-month protective orders against the three bloggers , was initially granted a temporary protective order against Brawner, who was the only one out of the three to actually be served.  The matter was then scheduled for hearing 10 days later to determine if the 12-month TRO would be granted.

Chateau Sheree

According Brawner's blog, the hearing was held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, and the judge denied the Former Real Housewife of Atlanta's TRO request. Brawner writes:
"In court this afternoon, the judge heard both sides of the case. I explained that I went to Chateau Sheree and took some pictures on one occasion. I testified that I had never seen Sheree anywhere ever; nor had I ever attempted to contact her in any way. I also explained I was given permission by the men in physical control of the site to enter the property. I also mentioned that Sheree does not own said property."
She further writes:
"Sheree testified that she was afraid for her life. She stated that I was parked outside her property at all hours of the day and night. Under questioning, she was unable to state any time that I had threatened her or harassed her. She admitted that she was not the property owner. She said she was the builder. She said she was there almost every day with her children and they were afraid of me. She admitted that she had shared the blueprints for Chateau Sheree on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. She admitted that she had invited cameras on the property for the show....
The judge ruled that there was nothing to support a stalking protective order. Her request was denied. Because Sheree claims to be in fear for her life he indicated that he was sure I would be willing to agree to stay away from her."

Michelle Brown (aka Atlien) and Bob Whitfield

Perhaps the most interesting development in the entire stalking matter came from Michelle Brown's blog Straightfromthea.com. Brown, who is rumored to be dating Whitfield's ex-husband and former NFL player Bob Whitfield (pictured above with Brown), explains Sheree's possible motive behind her TRO filing:
As you know, I’ve always maintained that it’s Sheree’s goal to STAY front & center in the public.  Well now she’s prepping to appear on Iyanla Vanzant‘s ‘Fix My Life’ to discuss her life after the housewives and her goals in moving forward with her life.
According to the press release:  On April 20, Vanzant works with Whitfield on her relationship with ex-husband and former NFL player Bob Whitfield, who she battled in numerous episodes of RHOA. The two actually sit down together to hash out their problems, discuss co-parenting and reveal how they truly feel about each other.
Needless to say, all of this ‘blogger drama’ was masterfully crafted to get her name out in the world again.
When Sheree’s contract with The Real Housewives of Atlanta ended last year, there was a non-compete agreement which stated that she could not do any other reality television programing for at least 1 year after the last air date of the season.  That happened to be April 8, 2012. (See where I’m going with this?)
Whether or not Sheree's motive for filing the TRO against the three bloggers was to drum up attention for her appearance on Iyanla Vanzant's "Fix My Life," one thing is for sure, it was inappropriate and trespassing for Brawner (reportedly a white woman in her 40s) to enter Chateau Sheree (private property) for a blog post.

I wonder would the outcome have been different if Michelle Brown and Quintin Latham had entered Kim Zolciak-Bierman's home while it was under construction, and Mrs. Zolciak-Bierman would have filed TRO against them. Do you see where I am going with this?

Flipper Apologizes to Judge In Court

Just days after being sentenced to 30 days in jail for contempt, Penelope Soto (aka "Flipper") finally apologized to Judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat for her outrages court behavior during  her arraignment.  Soto's courtroom antics drew national attention when the video of her arraignment went viral online.  The sober and now remorseful teen also apologized to her parents who were also in court.

"My behavior was very irrational, and I apologize not only to the court and you, but to my family,” Soto told Judge Rodriguez-Chomat.

After briefly lecturing Soto about profanity usage among youth in today's culture, the judge reversed his 30-day contempt sentence and the $10,000.00 bail set at the earlier hearing. As a result, Soto was able to be released to enter into a drug rehabilitation program for first time offenders.

I hope Soto successfully completes the drug program and make better choices in her life. And I wish her well in her sobriety.

Penelope Soto Flipping the Bird to the Judge

18-year old Penelope Soto, appeared before Miami-Dade Circuit (FL) Judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat on February 4th, 2013, for arraignment on several drug charges involving the possession of Xanax bars.

During the arraignment, the Public Defender proceeded to ask the giggling Soto, who seemed to be under the influence of drugs, several questions to determine if she was indigent and therefore, eligible for a court appointed attorney.

The teen stated that she earned $200 per week in income, owned a car and had a lot of jewelry.

Judge Rodriguez-Chomat immediately interjected and asked Soto how much was her jewelry worth. Soto continued laughing which prompted the judge to remind her that she was not in a club and to get serious.

Soto told the judge that he made her laugh, and that her jewelry was worth a lot of money, like "Rick Ross." (Blank stare)

That's when things went from bad to worse for the teen defendant.

At the end of her arraignment, Soto told the judge, "Adios."

Not to happy with Soto's behavior, Judge Rodriguez-Chomat increased her bond from $5,000 to $10,000. That's when Miss Soto told him, "To f*** yourself," and then gave him the middle finger.

In response, the judge held her in contempt and sentenced her to 30 days in jail.
