SUGE KNIGHT ARRESTED IN FATAL HIT-AND-RUN

Rap Mogul Marion "Suge" Knight has been arrested in connection with the fatal hit-and-run accident that left one man dead and another injured.
His bail has been set at $2 million.
The fatal incident occurred a short while after Knight was told by deputies to leave a film location where he had argued with someone, authorities said.
The cast and crew were taking a break from filming a promotional video for the biopic "Straight Outta Compton," about the rise of N.W.A., according to a person familiar with the project who was not authorized to speak about it publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity.
The argument resumed and escalated a short while later at a fast-food restaurant about two miles away, with Knight and the man exchanging punches through his open window. Knight then struck the man and a friend with his vehicle and fled, said sheriff's Lt. John Corina.
Terry Carter, 55, Knight's friend who authorities do not believe was involved in the altercation, died at a hospital, Corina said. The other man was identified by his manager as Cle "Bone" Sloan, 51, an actor and film consultant. He was hospitalized in stable condition, said manager Jermaine Shelton.
Corina said Knight backed up his pickup truck and knocked Sloan down."Then he puts the truck in drive, drives forward, running over him, and then keeps going forward and keeps on driving, and runs over Carter, who is standing in the parking lot, and keeps on going after that," Corina said.
He said witnesses told investigators it looked like an intentional act.Defense attorney James Blatt said Knight was called to Tam's Burgers in Compton for a meeting and was attacked by four people, including Sloan, as he slowed his truck. The men beat him through his window and threatened to kill him.
Corina said evidence thus far disputed Blatt's account, saying only one man exchanged blows with Knight through the window before he got run over. The incident comes less than six months after Knight was shot six times at a West Hollywood nightclub in August — the second shooting he's survived. No arrests have been made.
Knight punched the gas and fled in fear, Blatt said. He had no idea he hit two men. Corina said that claim is hard to believe.
Knight surrendered early Friday and was booked on suspicion of murder. He was being held on $2 million bail. (SOURCE)

ROBERT KAHAN, FLORIDA DEVELOPER, SENTENCED ON MORTGAGE FRAUD

From Justice.gov
TRENTON, N.J. – The developer of three Trenton affordable housing projects was sentenced today to 27 months in prison for making false statements to a financial institution to divert project money for personal and other unauthorized purposes, and to conducting a transaction with the proceeds of this crime, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.
Robert Kahan, 69, of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, previously pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Peter G. Sheridan to two counts of an indictment charging him with making false statements in a loan application (Count 8) and to transacting in criminal proceeds that resulted from those false statements (Count 12). Judge Sheridan imposed the sentence today in Trenton federal court.
According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court:
Between 2006 and 2009, Kahan was a developer of three affordable housing projects in Trenton – the Canal Plaza Homeownership Project, the Southwest Village II Project and the Catherine S. Graham Project – for which he obtained both private and public funding.
The Southwest Village II Project was a project to construct 52 affordable housing units.
Kahan diverted substantial portions of the project’s financing from a $6,435,000 construction loan from Roma Bank to his own personal use, his other development projects and other uses that were outside of the project budget. In October 2008, Kahan diverted $343,354 of Southwest Village II project financing and applied it as a down payment to purchase a Florida condominium. In numerous payment applications made to the loan administrator for the project financing requesting advances of loan and subsidy money, Kahan falsely stated that all money that he was previously paid had been used to pay costs for labor, materials and other obligations for the Southwest Village II Project.
In addition to the prison term, Judge Sheridan sentenced Kahan to four years of supervised release. Under terms of the plea agreement, Kahan must forfeit $989,901 in criminal proceeds. (Source)

Fredrick Young Hands Up Don't Shoot At His Sentencing For Murder

Fredrick Young raises his hands in support #HandsUpDontShoot

When social activism goes wrong in the courtroom,....

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -Two Westland teenagers were murdered execution-style in a vacant Detroit field two and half years ago.

Wednesday was their opportunity to address the men who killed their sons but what one of the defendants had to say to them left everyone shaking their heads.

Fredrick Young and Felando Hunter - were sentenced on this day to life in prison without parole for robbing, torturing, murdering the two teens who had been in Detroit trying to buy drugs.

Jourdan Bobbish and his friend Jacob Kudla - the Westland teens went missing in July of 2012. Their lifeless bodies were discovered days later - in a field on Detroit's east side....

When Young had his chance to apologize to the families - he did nothing of the sort..

"I'd like to say sorry to the families of Aiyanna Jones, Michael Brown, Eric Garner," Young said. "And I want to apologize to them for not being able to get justice for their loved ones who was murdered in cold blood - and in respect for the peaceful protest, I want to say hands up don't shoot. Black lives matter - that's it your honor."

People in the courtroom reacted in disbelief. (Source)

2 Chainz Debates Nancy Grace over Marijuana Legalization.

Sidebar Vent:  When I initially saw this video, my first question was why was Rapper 2 Chainz on Nancy Grace's show debating the legalization of marijuana?

Blank stare.

The Black community, especially in Atlanta, is filled with social and political scholars, who have earned doctorates in law (such as myself) and/or public policy and could provide an in-depth analysis and solutions to the social and penal injustices regarding marijuana offenses.  Yet, Nancy Grace show producers thought it was much more entertaining to discussion this legal issue with a rapper.

Blank stare.

When radio and television became vehicles of propaganda, mainstream corporate media and civil right activists have consistently turned to Black entertainers and sports figures to provide social commentary or opinions on things that impact the Black community, even if, at times, these individuals were not qualified to do so.

Why are mainstream corporate folks more comfortable with dealing with rich Black entertainers and athletes than with Black scholars when it comes to addressing social issues?  These Negroes are more compliant because they have something to lose.

In a nutshell, corporate mainstream media executives would rather deal with rich Negroes that have brands to protect.  That is, Negroes that are corporate slaves.  So if the slave does not stick to the corporate script, then he or she will lose endorsements or income.

The end.

GEORGE ZIMMERMAN ARRESTED AGAIN ON THIRD DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHARGE

After allegedly throwing a bottle of wine at his girlfriend [on] Monday, George Zimmerman spent 14 hours in jail this weekend and now faces aggravated assault charges and must surrender all his firearms, officials said....
Lake Mary Police spokes[person] Officer Bianca Gillett said the fight occurred Monday at Zimmerman's Lake Mary residence. Though nobody involved called 911, police found out about the fight when an officer pulled Zimmerman's girlfriend over for a routine traffic stop around 11:50 p.m. Monday, Gillett said.
"The driver stated she was just involved in a domestic altercation with George Zimmerman," Gillett said in a statement.
Zimmerman, the former Neighborhood Watch volunteer, was acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter charges in the Feb. 26, 2012 shooting death of unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford.
Wearing blue scrubs, Zimmerman stood before Judge John Galluzzo Saturday morning and nodded as Galluzzo set a $5,000 bond. Zimmerman, who is unemployed, bonded out of jail at 12:25 p.m.
Though this incident didn't involve a firearm, Galluzzo told Zimmerman that he had until Tuesday to surrender any firearms in his possession to a family member or a third party.
The judge also ordered Zimmerman to stay out of Volusia County and to have no contact with his girlfriend.
Zimmerman's next court date is Feb. 17.
Sidebar:  I am starting to believe that George Zimmerman is the Black community's pay back for our support of the acquittal of O.J. Simpson.

This is Zimmerman's third arrest for domestic violence since being acquitted for the cold-blooded murder of 17-year old Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman, who is nothing more than a spoiled entitled chubby thug, has been shielded from taking personal responsibility for molesting, violent and murderous ways by his parents, Florida judicial system, ex-wife and girlfriends.

The new girlfriend will be paid off by Zimmerman's parents, who appear to be going through great lengths to hide deep family secrets. Stay tuned....

Jury finds Officer Grant Morrison justified in killing of unarmed Montana man

Sidebar:  I wondered why Officer Grant Morrison brokedown after shooting an unarmed suspect?  Then I saw the deceased's picture.  Enough said.

Wait, I saw the video cam from Officer Grant Morrison's patrol car.  His attitude was much different. Hmm.  Why didn't Officer Morrison wait for back up?

A jury at a coroner's inquest determined Wednesday that a Montana police officer was justified in shooting and killing an unarmed man high on methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
The ruling came after Billings Police Officer Grant Morrison testified he feared for his life when he fired the three shots that killed 38-year-old Richard Ramirez.
The five-year police veteran said he became convinced that Ramirez had a gu

n after the man reached for his waistband during their 30-second encounter last April in a high-crime area of Montana's most populous city.
"I knew in that moment, which later was determined to be untrue, but I knew in that moment that he was reaching for a gun," Morrison said. "I couldn't take that risk. ... I wanted to see my son grow up."

Aaron Hernandez Trial Begins With Juror Drama

The trial for former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez got off to a colorful start when a potential juror, wearing a Bruins jersey, yelled "Go Pats!" according to Boston.com.

Let's just say this juror was excused the juror pool.

According to Boston.com:

No Patriots or other NFL attire is allowed in the courthouse during his trial, a Superior Court judge ruled in December. That ruling has now extended to all sports attire. Boston Globe’s Maria Cramer reports that a man wearing a Red Sox sweatshirt was told to turn it inside-out, and a man wearing a Nets hat was told to remove the cap.Friday marked the first day that potential jurors were called to court for the high-profile trial. About 125 potential jurors were told they could still be chosen to serve for the case even if they had previously heard reports about it. Openly rooting for the Patriots, though, was a deal-breaker. Hernandez is on trial for the June 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd, a semi-pro football player.
